Annual World Coal Association summit fires anger among groups taking part in climate negotiations in Warsaw
Dozens gathered outside the Ministry of the Economy in Warsaw to protest against the coal summit, held just a few km from a UN meeting on cutting carbon emissions.
A banner hung from the building, a giant pair of lungs was erected and protesters performed a series of stunts to demonstrate the health and climate impact of coal.
Meanwhile inside the building industry leaders insisted that the world will continue to use coal for decades to come and they were part of the solution to climate change by making coal “clean”.
