As it is a private institution, course fees vary by
age group and shift. However, a 3% discount is
applied to families who take actions that reduce
consumption, promote recycling and minimize
food waste. Additionally, used cooking oil is
collected and donated to biodiesel producers.
Plastic caps and dish sponges are also collected.
The proceeds are donated to institutions in need.
Students use textbooks every year and return
them to the school to be recycled at the end of the
school year. It is estimated that around forty tons
of paper have been recycled in four years, with the
value of the weight donated to an NGO that helps
stray dogs.
Transforming the school environment into an
agent of sustainability is not just a choice, but
an ethical responsibility. When schools teach by
example, they create a solid foundation for a more
just, empathetic and sustainable society.
